This composite is based upon my feelings as I walked out to this lighthouse, it feels quite formidable as one approaches and I could easily imagine all sorts of scenarios, all rather gloomy!
It's the only wave-washed cast iron lighthouse remaining in the UK and one of only three or four world-wide. The UK designed and supplied them all. Not that that's a recommendation, this one was built in 1865 and was used until 1921 - not so long compared with many other Victorian-built lumps of industry. An online guide says it can be reached by foot after a 5km walk but is treacherous due to quicksand and unexploded wartime ordnance. I"m not sure I walked quite that far but it is quite a strenuous walk - and I was unaware of the other minor problems! Having arrived at the shore the lighthouse looks close enough, but that's a deception and the walk out is another test of determination. Good to have done it though.
Back to the composite, the running lady you may have seen before in my composites, she's from a group shoot. The villain with the lamp is from a jousting event and was described as a 'hood'! All shots and textures mine but the lighthouse beams are Nucly.com light rays, duly modified.
If you have time to critique it will be welcome.
Great atmosphere and evocative storytelling as usual. The villain is a bit hard to make out, and I don't know if it was intentional or not but he's partly transparent. If you wanted a ghostly effect, the girl would be a prime candidate. What is it with you and women in nightdresses lol.

No idea what you’re talking about RG!
I’ll check the transparency problem though, thanks for picking-up on it.
More comment than critique. Flawless technique as I would expect from you. Great story but, of course, you will have to do a follow up to show us if she escaped or not. The light effect from the flashlight is wonderful. To me though the sky makes the picture
I’m fairly sure she did escape Curmudgeon, I expect her to pop up in another picture sometime soon! I agree with you regarding the sky, I shot it whilst walking the dogs about a month back. Many thanks for your comments.

This composite is based upon my feelings as I walk... (

Exceptional, Well Done !!!
Another high-impact work of art. You set the bar very high, Dave!
Every time I try a composite, I try to make them as faultless as yours. My only concern, and concern maybe too much. The women looks a bit big in relationships to the man and the lighthouse.

And there I was thinking you were going to rap my knuckles Linda!

You’re doing pretty good yourself I reckon. The figure sizes are based upon my in-depth knowledge of the height of the lighthouse, lady and villain, coupled with the deceptive distance from viewpoint to the lighthouse and the ensuing effect upon perspective - well that’s my excuse, but you could be right Frank!

I thought the lady’s dress might be too sheer for UHH!

Yep, you're right Frank - try this version, although I think it may require the lighthouse/background rescaling rather than the lady, this is the quick check.
Very well constructed composite with a great story. Thank you for sharing.
