Nice contrast! Nice photo to try your hand at B&W conversion.

My monitor is not calibrated so I am going to ask a question that someone else can answer for me. Is the white of the stars and eagle tail showing true white on your monitors? It is a very light gray on mine.

Thank you both for looking and posting! You're right, the eagle's tail is not quite white. Let's see if we can do something about that!

I see a difference and it is definitely more toward white but still slightly gray. As I said...it could be because I have never calibrated the monitor. Guess I should look into the equipment to do it.

I do think its a great photo and I think it is great in B&W. I look forward to seeing more of your conversions as you progress.

The eagle tail and stars show up white on my monitor in this photo.

Glad you like it Ben. Sometimes B/W and indoors need to lighten up overall to get the better whites.

Showing true white on mine !! and my monitor needs to be recalibrated or so Color Munki says
