Fed rates are going to keep going up as Biden and the Democrats won't stop spending, economists from both the Clinton and Obama administrations are attributing much of the inflation to Biden's spending. As the Fed is trying to tighten and slow economic activity Biden and the Dems just can't help themselves.... It's the first real test of the limits of MMT, and it is not going well.

Only the arty it of power gives a whit about spending--including Republicans. When Republicans are in power, they spend just as freely. That is why we have frown to rely on monetary policy for price stability as both parties have abandoned fiscal policy.

When Republicans are back n power, deficits will be OK (as Cheny famously said--"They don't matter"--and Democrats will be complaining about it.

That was never more so true than under Trump, I agree, but at the same time I did not see the wreckless spending even under Trump that we are witnessing under Biden and for what? Do you actually think that his last C***d spending and the so called "Deficit Reduction Act" was necessary and will save the planet as he claims?

The democrats won't stop, it is not in their nature, your party has gone full blown loco with their emphasis on "Equity" and "Climate".

If one merely looks at a time line of the market you would quickly see the 6500 loss started at same time fed started raising rates .
Simple rates are high investors move to bonds .

The worst is yet to come... 2023 is going to be a very difficult year. What is amazing to me is that both the Fed and CBO are projecting anemic growth for several years out, how is it that so few have taken note.
