This old motel used to be busy until the highway came through. What stories are hidden in this place. Oh btw, the building is for sale if you are interested. Like an old barn, this former business will dissolve into the earth or be sold for the land to build more apartments. I thought b&w added to the dreary scene.

Nice!! I agree that B&W is the best choice because it enhances the flaws in the building that color might detract from.

Nice pic. I love to shoot BW, specifically old run down buildings. The more decrepit, the better.

Thanks to all who responded to the old motel. I appreciate all the comments. I have driven past this old motel dozens of times w/o a camera. This time I did a specific photo run. The overcast and rainy day contributed to the darkness of the scene. Or Norman Bates was in one of units!

With your directions, I was able to locate it on the internet. The name is the Circle L Motel. It's only a few hundred feet from Camp Lazarus, on the opposite site of Route 23.

Thanks for commenting. The old building was quite sun-bleached and rotting. This is what I saw. Feel free to try different processing techniques.
