Practicing For Nashville

In a few weeks my wife and I will travel to Nashville for a meetup with relatives…not a photo trip. I decided to take two compact cameras, a Panasonic LX10, 1 inch sensor, f/1.4 lens, and a Canon SX730, pocketable superzoom. These should do fine for memory photos, along with a cell phone.

I took the attached photos recently so that I remember how to use the two cameras.

Might I ask what you are planning on photographing in Nashville that would require that level of practice.
I live just about fifteen minutes away from downtown Nashville and there's precious few places like that around here although if you voyage out to hermitage and see the home of Andrew Jackson it has some beautiful gardens like that, as does Cheekwood in the Brentwood area.
If you leave downtown towards hermitage you will have to pass the Mt Olivet cemetery which is a fantastic location for photos.

Well, since you asked, we plan to do a 3.5 hour Grayline tour, a Grand Ole Opry backstage tour, the Hermitage, the Parthenon, and the Gaylord Opryland. Thank you for mentioning Cheekwood and the Mt. Olivet cemetery. I will see if we have time to check those out.

If you do get the chance they are both beautiful.
I enjoy the cemetery for the many historical monuments and markers.
It's a good place even for portrait sessions.
