Went for a hike on a trail called "La Chouenne" in the park on Friday. The park is about an hour and a half NE of Quebec City. A trail of about 3 to 3.5 miles in length return, it is not particularly challenging with a change in elevation of about 750 feet. Wide and uninteresting for most of the hike, but narrow, steeper, and much more rugged as you get nearer to the summit. The view at the top is worth the hike. Unfortunately, it was a windy, cool day with ferocious winds on the summit and I beat a hasty retreat to a more sheltered lower elevation after about 5 minutes. I had difficulty remaining upright at times and had to crouch down to take a few photos. The last two photos were taken on the trail at lower elevations where it is wider and well maintained. The vegetation changes as you climb, starting off with birch and aspen, then coniferous trees, and finally just low shrubs.
GreyOwl40,
These are lovely images to absorb. Just beautiful.
Very colorful pictures and it looks like the wind gave you very clean, clear air to take advantage of the opportunities.

Many thanks, fantom! You are right; that it did. There was a complete absence of any haze.
Your pictures are beautiful.
