The reason I say I'm proud is the fact that Texas, Arizona and New Mexico have been shouldering this huge influx of people with very little help from the feds. Now with the southern border states bussing the people north the other states are seeing just what is happening in the southern states. They were all for this until it hit their doorstep. Now as we're all reading New York, Illinois and Mass are all finally complaining about the "migrants/i******s" because of the cost and places to house them. All of this was being shouldered by those southern border states until this happened. All of these so called "sanctuary" places were fine with it because they didn't see the numerous problems and didn't have to deal with it. Now they do and they're changing their tune.

And it’s wrong that the border states( any states Texas Florida. Illinois or New York) shoulder the load that belongs to the federal government. Congress has to either fund the law as is or change it.
But that does excuse lying to asylees.
