Moe like lack of lights. Haven’t ever really shot HS football, more of a baseball guy when comes to pictures.

Epic pivotal moments... lovely color harmonies latent within...
Fabulous "White Balance" ! Especially considering the challenging lighting scenario...

Thank you for sharing gcolegate1

Perfect action captures for your occasional HS football photography
#5 and #6 are my favorites of the group!

Thanks for sharing and keep posting,
Rick

Agreed regarding the “lack of lights” at HS football games. Makes capturing the light there is, and post processing to remove high ISO noise a (fun) challenge.

You did very well for the first time. Next time no backs only faces and the ball.
Wonderful shots of the action coming towards us.
What gear are you using?

I used a D500 and a D850 with a Nikon 70-200mm f2.8. I’m recovering from Achilles’ tendon surgery and have limited mobility. Am able to move a bit, but not very fast. My son only played baseball, little more comfortable shooting those games. First two are my son and a random picture from a Reds game. Like your work as well.
