Long Ago and Far Away #24 Part 4 of 5.

Continuation of trips around the country. We met with lecturers, locals, historians, and guides at specific locations; coffee plantation, pineapple farm, sugar cane farm and processing and more. One noticable negative is the fact that except for a couple of major highways and city streets, roads were basically dirt with huge stones. I asked our bus driver how tires hold up in this environment and he noted that tires were good for only about one year. I would not recommend renting a car to drive around the country. I show two birds and one butterfly that I cannot ID. If you can I would appreciate names.

I have only a few more photos to share and the last group will be #25. I will post them soon and move on to other times and places if there is still any interest left.

Random and numerous vacation trips are not overly meaningful to most.
Select 2-4 what you think would be of interest to many.
Remember others have no emotional connection to your vacation.

Mark,
I have been checking on all my submissions and except for #23, they have almost all been viewed by 1100-1200 UHH'ers, and been thanked by numerous viewers.
I only have one more of Costa Rica to post and I will do that but then go back to archives and work on them.
Thanks for your comment.

Larry, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I feel that this member's comment is a bit harsh. Having toured Costa Rica ourselves a few years back, I find your posts very enjoyable and they have brought back some good memories.

I am truly happy that you have taken some enjoyment from the photos. I let Mark know that I have monitored mky submissions and find that most of them have been viewed by more than 1000 UHH'ers and have received lots of favorable responses.

Dan,
Thanks for the ID. However, I don't know which bird you refer to; the first (small) bird or the second (Red and Black)? I don't want to guess at this.
