I've been taking this old timers picture at the Zoo for many years. one of my favorites. One old timer taking a picture of another. He seems to always have a somewhat weary but watchful expression. The first shot is the initial shot, second is a composite with background change, a tree bark texture added, then Photoshop's Harmonize neural filter. Third is the second with a painting effect, pattern overlay added then blended with the second a couple different ways. Thought I'd share.
If you would like, Please click on the picture, doing so will link you to the gallery page where the shot can be seen in higher resolution and full page. Thanks for viewing and Have A Blessed Day !!!

I really like the effects. Thanks for sharing your process. I keep meaning to try the neural fliters, have to get on that

Thank You Fran, the harmonize did a little better job than adjustment/match color, but not by a wide margin. Delighted you enjoyed them !!!
These are all really nice. 1 & 2 are my favorite. #3 is just a tad bit too much, but that's just a subjective obervation on my part. Thanks for mentioning the "Harmonize" neural filter. I haven't tried that one yet.

Thank You Frank, Harmonize seemed to work well in this composite. Glad you enjoyed them !!!
The end results are rather subtle. I like it.

Thank You very much Bill, I appreciate it !!!
UncleBuck, he looked at you and saw a kindred soul... he knew you would do good by his image. I like the second one best.
If only he could communicate he would tell you about his left ear [photo right] and how the chunk was bitten off during a fight with Mike Tyson. **
