ID Help- not sure of the ID on these seabirds.
Morning light, partly cloudy to sunny, about 62 F, lite breeze.
The water was roiled and the birds swarmed around that area for over an hour!
Z9, Z 100-400.

according to Nat Geo Birds of Western North America, it appears to be a Kittiwake. Either a Red-Legged or young Black-Legged Kittiwake.

Great thanx for the ID. The dark mark behind/below the eye is not shown for the kittiwakes.

I believe they look more like Bonaparte's Gulls, with a lot of them being juveniles.
