I would take the money and run
A1, then I would sell off my a7iii,and a7Riv. All my lenses are E-mount

Neither. A Lumix GH6 with XLR audio adapter *AND* an OMDS OM-1. Plus $$$ left over for accessories. (My current lenses work on both bodies.)
Just the money. My D-500 works fine for me. Most of us can't use our current cameras to the cameras full capability. Besides at 10 frames a second I have to many pics to sort already. With 20 or 120 frames per second I would never get done sorting. Lol
I've heard lots of good stuff on the A1
Thought one. I would go what lenses I have- maybe….The size and how nice they are in my hands. The Sony 7 I didn’t like how I adjusted certain buttons and wheels.
I have a Z9. It is the right choice for me.
I wouldn't buy either one.
If someone is giving me one of them and let me choose then it depends.
1. If I can sell it for money I would take the A1
2. If I must use it I would take the Z9.
When a man has no reason to trust himself, he trusts to the oracles on UHH... Honestly, if you have to resort to votes from UHH, you are looking at / considering the wrong cameras for the wrong reasons. But, of course, it's your money to blow.

Both are great. Nikon is currently testing a new high end camera, so wait if you can.

There is just one rationale to "
use our current cameras to ... full capacity"
That rationale is that the camera is fun toy, a sort of miniature amusement arcade, and we wanna play with it in every manner that it offers.
For real photography you use the part that suits you and ignore the rest. What you ignore is built into it for various other needs of countless other users.
About your sorting problem: 120 fps should not overload you if used well. I use a four frame limit on my fast burst cameras. Then the burst is barely more than blink. If you record actions that last longer than blink you can just set a lower fps burst rate.
Even with a preburst of 30 frame recorded before I touch the shutter button I easily can find the few key frames showing the moment that best represents the action. The other frames, pissibly dozens, can be deleted en masse without even reviewing at them.

Z9 as the ability to dump it still in the box on a sucker quickly for cssh is higher.

Although the price on the A1 is $1000 more than the Z9?
