Very nice pictures - as always with your very interesting posts! Just curious though - were you a teacher in your previous life? Cheers JohnR
Thanks very much John. As well as being a clinician and administrator for 35 years, one of my favorite things was teaching. Some of the greatest joy I got in my career was seeing a young resident perform a procdure I taught flawlessly. After I retired from active practice, I spent about 5 years lecturing and writing on minimally invasive surgery which was my area of expertise. The only "A" I got in 4 years as an undergraduate at Harvard was in a course called English N - public speaking and it served me well.

Also, I can relate to your comment about teaching. Over my 35 year career as an aerospace engineer and engineering manager, I mentored many "fresh-out" young engineers and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also taught a couple of formal in-house classes to new groups of engineers which I also enjoyed. I am currently in my 15th year of teaching part time at the university level. I thought I would do it for 3 or 4 years, but I'm still enjoying it.
