Tripod/Gimbal Head Case

Suggestions for a case that will fit tripod with gimbal head. New gimbal head does not fit into my existing case(s).

Removing the gimbal head entails removing three screws. I’d like to not do that.

I can slide the tripod center arm out with pushing a retainer button (twice). Prefer not to have to do that either.

I know of no case for tripod WITH gimbal - but here is a case for gimbal only - https://www.ebay.com/itm/204091135543?hash=item2f84c79637:g:zKgAAOSwvi1jHz6Q&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoBizvmy%2Fv1JZwdP2Mv%2BiKxg8wU8sMr9%2BXBWj4LgRHQRmY8%2FnhYDx0gLchc9vYSdozP0XVgM9WNFNEdS4ero1XMmxQbCWyX8YPiWXYECM89E4PDjCIQx6mLbr86rykUpFNpaD%2FqeR%2F13ALKejj10Q9Mn0pswMA%2FtDRCvwMoTuZUbA8RyyrEJLojvv1lhdxicbnzOFAaaJkAx%2Ba7hIHWwDyyI%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR7aZ0PPoYA

I can build you a custom fit case out of some fancy wood that will make your friends drool if you are into such fine things...

Thanks for the offer.

I am more into function than form.

I may have found rifle case that will do the job.

Get used to taking the gimbal head off.

Thanks for that.

Unfortunately taking just the gimbal head off requires undoing three screws. Not something I want to have to do.

I can slip the head and center support out with pushing a retainer (twice). But that unit is about two ft. long.

Got to believe they exist for the wildlife photographers.

This is my current choice unless something better shows up here.

Look in an Army Surplus for an ammo box and get a block of foam to pad it out.

More expensive than I remember, adds some weight, but my solution to managing heads and tripods without fuss.

It depends on the size of your tripod. I have a Ruggard 42" tripod case that has just enough space to hold my Robus 8880 (80" four section) tripod with a Wimberly wh200 attached. Ruggard also makes a 48" case https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/883682-REG/ruggard_bd_3042_deluxe_padded_42_tripod.html

Snug, but it does fit. (The 48" case is not only longer, it is also a bit wider)

Yes, this is the Manfrotto system I use and recommend - better than a standard A/S solution ! .....
