In some instances, prosecutors refused to charge those arrested for felony crimes committed during the protests despite the availability of video evidence and suspect confessions," the report said.

Gosh darn it anyway. There you go again bring up facts and common sense for the win. Don't you know the Left Wingers here don't understand common sense, don't want to hear it because they have no defense against it?

The Left would much rather post lies about the J****** 6th r**t than look at real facts pointing out their party is one of the most violent political parties in American history. They openly call for violence against SCOTUS justices, want the police defunded, call for no penalties against thieves who steal from stores, who assault others etc.

You have not heard of any of the recent convictions for these crimes? People were arrested for firearm possession inside the Capitol that day...I don't know the disposition of those cases. People were just recently convicted of agg assault on leos among other things.

How can you admit to being so uninformed and yet hold forth multi-paragraph rants on the things you apparently never heard about.

You embarrass everyone on the right...except for the alt-right loons...a couple of those caricatures do cheer for you from time to time.

Birds of a feather and all.

Yes I do know that people were convicted for assault on LEO at the Capitol building that day. If they did and were convicted then that is right and proper. But I also know there are many still in jail cells for no reason that cannot be released on bail, many who are being convicted but did not necessarily commit any crime other than being inside the building.

You would have to show me of someone who was convicted for actually having a firearm inside the building. No shots were fired by the r****rs that I know of. Only one shot fired and that was the murder of Ashli Babbitt by a policeman.

You own firearms, you have some common sense. You tell me that that murder was justified in your heart. She was outside and climbing in. Others were already in. Where was the immediate threat to the officer, to any officer if she was outside one area and climbing into another? You know if this was a thief climbing into a home or business the murder would never fly in a court of law. He could have waited until she was inside, could have called for help to arrest her, could have simply pushed her back outside. But he shot and k**led an armed woman who was no immediate threat.

If you care, you have your facts very wrong regarding Ashli. This has been covered enough times in the attic and actual videos are on youtube that I will refrain from the futile attempt to change your mind. If you care, viewing several videos shot from different angles make clear what happened. She asked for what she got.

And I wil continue to disagree. Had she been black and had it been someone's home that shooter would have been facing prison charges. Deny, she was unarmed and therefore NOT a threat, at least until she may have made her way inside. Was the officer unable to wait; are you saying he was forced to use deadly force when other means were most likely available? Was this a split second decision where he was truly in fear for his life. I don't give a rat's ass what was discussed here in The Attic, don't care what others have discussed. A bunch of Trump h**ers and h**ers of Trump supporters does not make for a very fair dialogue, does it? Yet you accept it without question. I am not surprised.

Setting this thread aside and the personalities involved in it... I really like the Rumi quote.

One day Gorge and you guys hang on to it as if your lives depended on it. It is also questionable as to the FBI's involvement in the activities of that day. So, our side has its AHs, the likes of P***d B**s and O**h K****rs and you guys have B*M and A****a, big deal, we had 1*6 and you had the summer of love which was much worse.

That's debatable. Maybe a few shots into the wall would have sufficed, she had not brandished a gun or a knife, I strongly disagree with your assessment. She and the crowd did pose a threat but the cop was a pussy, there were cops standing in the hallway behind her that did not see a need to start shooting people.

If you watch the different views, the cops behind her were down a stair well out of sight of the officer defending the House chamber hallway. From his perspective, there were 40 or 50 r****rs smashing the glass and trying to break into the hallway and zero leos in sight for support. Then this woman comes through a broken window, wearing a backpack covered by a trump f**g. She could have had a bomb in her backpack. Was he supposed to stand down and politely ask if she was armed? Was he supposed to subdue and cuff her while even more people came through the window.

From his perspective, he was the only leo standing between a violent crowd and the House chamber hallway.

My first impression was that he panicked and over reacted. But then I looked for all the videos. One video makes it look bad, a couple of others make it clear the cop was there, sidearm drawn warning the r****rs and Ashli chose to break in anyway. She was head shoulders and arms inside the chamber when he shot her.

She was caught up in the moment and made her own foolish and fateful choice.

Only after the shot did the leos behind her step up from the stairwell into view and one of them pointed his rifle at the leo on the inside like he did not know who shot. A couple of handsigns were exchanged as he recognized it was an leo who fired and he lowered his rifle. It was mass confusion and did represent a danger to everyone still on the inside of the doorway.

Well, you and I can disagree, I have no problem with that and I do recognize that you have looked very extensively at the event.

Could have had a bomb just doesn't fly, does it? She could have had anything but until she presents a tangible threat to the officer then she is not a threat. That is how laws in America work, don't you know. With hundreds of other r****rs in the same area, why didn't the officer shoot them? Hell, they were already inside, already more of a threat than she was. He could even have pushed her right back out wh**ever window she was climbing through or attempting to climb through. Yet he murdered her and you Left Wingers praise him for it.

Your description of where she was and where the other r****rs were is just wrong on so many levels.

You lefties can't get anything right.
