Been there twice. Both times summer and 100+ degrees. In the afternoon, it does its best you fry your retinas. Shortly before the sun goes down, it’s pleasant and extraordinarily beautiful.

The last time I was there was over 30 years ago. The sand reminded me of snow. Just like it looks in your photos.

(My uncle published the local newspaper paper in nearby town of Truth or Consequences until recently). As you know, the name "White Sands" is a bit of a misnomer, since it is actually gypsum, but who's counting?

We live in New Mexico and have visited the White Sands. NM many, many times, but you captured the magic of the dunes. My compliments.
