Gators at Lake Apopka. A little different.
This is a little different than my usual Gator photos. They've hatched!! There were about twenty of them, maybe more. Beautiful little guys!
And I think of my mother with twelve living kids when I look at the last photo. She was off to one side, trying to be vigilant while I was about three feet from her, but she just couldn't keep her eyes open! I imagine that if one baby made one little squeak she would have acted differently! She is only about four to five feet long, pretty small but I guess fully adult?
I hope you like!
Cool, I like the first best!

Just as I was about to suggest, NOT, you reach in to pick up one of the little tykes to play with it, you show the mom watching closely. When I was about 12 or so my friends had an alligator, maybe a caiman, about that size. I moved away from that area so have sometimes wondered what it grew up to be.
Oh did I mention great photos? Thanks for sharing.

An outstanding set, Chief.
