Very nice captures, Richard. I like #3 the best.
Swimming is a challenge whether it be indoor or outdoor. It appears that you were shooting from one end of the pool and down low which is important to get the best shots. Breaststroke and butterfly are best shot from either end of the pool. Backstroke can be shot from either the end (standing up, instead of being close to pool level) or the side of the pool. Freestyle is best shot from the side of the pool. Starting block photos are best from the side.
Indoor lighting is always poor, but if the pool is evenly lit, you can just fix your ISO.
70-200 is an excellent lens choice for pool side or end photos.
If you are allowed to get next to the pool edge at the end of the pool (and don’t mind getting wet) you can consider a wide angle (24-28mm) for the turns (breaststroke & butterfly).
A 300mm or 400mm 2.8 will allow you to capture backstroke starts from the opposite end of the pool. Also allow you to get side shots if you can’t reach the swimmers furthest from you with the 70-200, or if you are forced to shoot from the stands.
Looking forward to more photos from you,
Stephen

Very nice Richard! I shot one swim meet. Turned out like crap. The man in charge of the complex told me the lighting was for tv cameras. I don't know what that meant but didn't work for old Tom. Keep posting love swim shots. Thanks BE SAFE!!
Tom
You did very good Richard.

Nice shooting. In sports photography, timing is usually everything, and you have done well.
Worthy results from the 1st time getting your proverbial “feet wet”.
Nice captures. Never shot swimming. Paul

I really like #3, you really see her face surfacing for air! All the pictures are stellar, #3 really stands out Richard.
Thanks for sharing,
