I believe it was levying sanctions on companies that were building the pipeline. That could we be considered as interfering.

That was Congress not Trump.
Yes, he signed it but the sanctions were from Congress.
Whether he signed it or not it would have gone into effect.
Perhaps interfering is wrong. Like interfering in WWI as all the beligrants were pretty much tapped out and the war would have ended shortly regardless of a democrat president getting involved
Now Trump has been proven right for signing it.
So you are correct America interfered and perhaps should not have.
But Europe is suffering for their stupidity.

Just curious, are you also opposed to America sending arms and funds to Ukraine to defend themselves from the Russian invasion?

All bulls**t to support American militaristic hegonomy,

If we would mind our own business. We would be much better off.

The bottom line is this was deal between sovereign countries not America.

Bull
“””” The US sanctions have angered Russia and the European Unionwhich says it should be able to decide its own energy policies.

“”””
Earlier this week German Chancellor Angela Merkel said she was "opposed to extraterritorial sanctions"against the Nord Stream 2 project.

German foreign minister Heiko Maas struck a more combative tone, saying the sanctions amounted to "interference in autonomous decisions taken in Europe".

“”””
Wanna know what this was about - ?
Congress and their campaign contribution from American LNG companies.

“”””” The Trump administration fears the pipeline will tighten Russia's grip over Europe's energy supply and reduce its own share of the lucrative European market for American liquefied natural gas.
