Here in the UK I signed up for pre-order this morning. I confirm order at 1pm UK time tomorrow. The cameras sound great, just wish they could do more with the zoom.

You can put it in your bag now and hit checkout at 12:01 am on the 9th. I'm still using my iPhone 11 and will wait awhile before I go for the 14.

Can’t really do much…lens needs to fit inside the phone 6x optical is still pretty good, and even the digital might not be too bad if it’s based on the main 48MP sensor.

We are on the fence about updating from our XS models…but leaning towards yes as our battery capacity is down to under 80% on both. As the camera you always have with you…this is pretty darned good performance.

For regular photos looks nice but if you should take sports or action photos the cellphone camera is worthless. Nothing beats a DSLR or Mirrorless camera for action photos!

The best I can tell is everything is out but the price but I guess you can order through you electronics store and get the I-phone for nothing down and $45 per month until you upgrade again

The iPhone 14 Pro Max Starts at $1099.00 and they're offering a $1000.00 discount on qualifying iPhones. Most likely that would be the iPhone 13 Pro Max, maybe the 13 Pro.

So? That’s obvious. Smartphone buyers are buying Interconnected supercomputers to keep by their sides all day. These “phones” just happen to contain cameras in addition to lots of other technology and any of two million software apps.

A Swiss Army Knife isn’t a dedicated tool, either. But it’s pretty useful in a pinch!

Right. I’m pretty sure that those whose specialty is birds, especially birds in flight, wildlife and action photography, etc., would not pick a smartphone as their camera of choice, although they may carry one. But for those who just want a good camera for general subjects, a great travel camera and something to grab a moment, a smartphone camera is just the ticket. In fact they just happen to take some very good photos. It’s not for everyone, but then, neither is a D850 or a 1D5. I suppose, though that the point of this discussion isn’t about the validity of smartphone cameras, but rather about the great features in the new iPhone 14 series, and in particular, the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Somehow, smartphone discussions always wind up with a “versus” in them. Pity.

Bill is entirely correct... Why is it always A vs. B or Me against them.... ? Lets just recognize and be awed where smartphones are right now and what the future holds for their format as it evolves...
