photo size question

Hello UHH Technocrats,
I have an older photo that I previously cropped down to a much smaller size. Now I want to use that small photo on a site that requires 2000 pixels on the long side. The cropped photo now measures 672 x 685 at 72 pixels/inch and 1.32 M. When I tried to resize it at 2000 x 1962 pixels and at 11.7 M, it leaped off the page at it's greater size. So, I mechanically reduced it's size with ctrl + (-) and in 2 clicks it was on the screen at visually the same size as when I first looked at it. It still measured 2000 x 1962 pix. I emailed it to myself and the size held as did the pixel count.
Does that mean I can send this image to the intended recipient and it can then be reproduced at 2000 x 1962 for others to see over Zoom without any problem?
Thanks,

You have to be a bit careful. Do not text it. You need to attach it to an Email, don't insert it. Even when attached, some apps like AOL might let you upload it, but will resize it smaller when sent to your recipient. What seems to work for me is to send and receive using gmail. The practical limitation of gmail is somewhere around a 12.5mb file. Make sure your recipient opens it and checks the number of pixels.

Hello Strodav,
Thanks. I do use Gmail and I usually attach images to the message.
I will wait and see how this turns out.

Suggestion in both LRC and PS you can enhance your image. Personally, I "round trip" to Topaz Gigapixel when I have done a severe crop. Hope this helps

It is easy enough to find out. Just email it to yourself and see what you get.

The concern would be whether it looks pixelated or not. If you can view it at the same size that the recipient will be viewing it at (full screen perhaps) and the edges within the image don't look jagged then you're good to go. If the edges do look jagged then you need to find some upsizing software to enlarge it.

take a look at On1 Resize either as a plugin or within On1 Raw 2022. I own Gigapixel as well and find On1 does a better job..

I haven't had the same problem. What I have noticed is that after an upgrade it's not happy until you download "Model Files".
