Not a barn, but a corn crib. Used for storing picked corn to dry over the winter. It was then shelled in the spring.

Thanks for the clarification! I am a city boy so they all look like barns to me. LOL. Is there a particular feature that makes it a corn crib?

Yes, several. The open central drive, the cupola where the elevator head was place when unloading corn fron the wagon. The open slat siding allows air flow. The open design allows nature to take over quickly an most cribs didn't survive long after they were made obsolete by the picker sheller.
My father built one south of America Iowa in 1964, it was probably the last crib built in the state as most corn was harvested by picker shellers by that time.
Kentucky tobacco barns are just as confusing to us yanks.
This would be a photo op I'd definitely brake for. Interesting to learn about the design from Plieku69 also.
