Microsoft Edge Went Wacky

I was recording a video on the Dell, and when I went in to check on it, the screen was frozen - after about ten minutes of recording. It took a while, but I was finally able to shut down Edge. When I restarted it, it was a new version with none of the tabs I had saved at the top. It was giving me the intro to the new Edge. I couldn't open any web sites, so I shut it down. I'll let it sit and try it later. That's never happened before. I'm using Chrome on this iMac.

“Went whacky”, is that a technical term?

Not only is "went wacky" a technical, it's alluringly alliterative.

Apparently the update to Windows bollocks ups Chromium based browsers.

Bad move by Microsoft, messing up its own browser.

Which is worse, then? Wonky or wacky?

"Wonky" means it's a bit odd. "Wacky" mean it's gone off the rails.

I'm glad to see that Edge is working fine today.

Repeating my reply to your earlier post:

When other browsers come out, and are reputed to be the latest, greatest thing, I have tried them, but nothing is as good as Edge. I have been using Edge for some time, and NEVER have had the slightest problem - or with Windows 10, either!!! I always keep everything updated! I have no idea why so many are badmouthing Microsoft products!!!

Reminds me of an ex girlfriend from my twenties that recently found me on the internet and keeps constantly trying to contact me and meet her. The good news is that we live on different coasts.

I affectionately call her “whack job.”

Don't give her my name. I'm studying to become a hermit.

I was going to bookmark this but don’t know how to describe it:

Dictionary updates
Browser advise
Old girlfriend stories

… at least I don’t “YET” see ice cream prices
