I had to replace three of the six ink cartridges in my Epson 970 today. Fortunately, it came with a complete replacement set of ink. A printer guy on YouTube recommended LD ink for that printer, and he says that he uses it. I ordered a 13-pack from Amazon for about $35. Have any of you had good or bad experiences with LD ink? I'll try one cartridge when they arrive and see if it works. Ordinarily, you buy ink before you need it, and when you find out that it doesn't work, you're beyond the return period.

I think it's odd that so many sets of ink are sold with one cartridge missing. There are sets of five cartridges for the 970. Why? I was lucky to find this double set - two full sets of six plus one extra black.

Good Marketing tactic. If all your cartridges emptied out at same time; with Mfr’s prices, you might consider just replacing the printer with a new one w/Ink Set. But… would you discard a printer with 3-4-5 ¾ filled cartridges? Or just bite the bullet and bite a new 1-2 new $$$ cartridges? Been there many times. Now I just have a 6 yr old Brother B/W Laser Printer w/$13 toner refills once every two years, and email color Photos to friends and Family. Sadly stopped color printing game. Retired; find new uses for todays squeezed money!

I've used LD ink for years and have never had a problem with it. I have three Canon printers, a little cheapy 2900 series and two TS9520

I currently have a mix of Canon and LD cartridges in my Canon TS9020 printer, and they work fine.

Jerry my problem is finding a single cartridge at anything like the price when in a set. That's why I have several high capacity black and one of the next one likely to run out

Jerry, this is the ink I've been buying for the last two years from Amazon. It seems to work just as well as the original ink did in my Brother printer.

I'll join in on the LD comments: been using LD for at least ten years (it seems to me), and have never had an issue. At one point, however, I made a mistake in the order and received the wrong ink, which was the one I had actually ordered in error. Speaking with the young lady in customer service was a most pleasant experience, and all they requested was that I return the incorrect cartridges in the box in which the correct ones arrived. Which I did. No questions, no expense, no anything except a very nice young person on the other end of the phone. Plus the inks have always worked well in my Pro 100s. I see no reason to change from a company like that.

About 30 years ago, inkjet printers were selling with half empty cartridges.
BUT they had a coupon (good for 30 days from purchase) for one set of cartridges for half price!
So that was the game: Buy the printer and the cartridges.
When the second set go dry, donate the printer as a write off.
By that time, there's a new! and improved! printer on sale.
I still do that. Black Friday is coming up, and I have a "spare" Canon printer.
