The New York Daily News, the countrys fifth largest newspaper, endorsed Mitt Romney on Sunday, joining the ranks of more than a dozen papers that have turned away from Barack Obama after endorsing his candidacy in 2008.
The paper's endorsement came as a surprise: the News has a staunchly Democratic editorial viewpoint. The Daily News is also owned by one of the country's most respected and influential Democrats, Mort Zuckerman, the billionaire real estate mogul.
But the New York daily staked its arguments against Obama not on politics but the economy, charging that President Obamas promises went unfulfilled.

Someone was telling me on another thread that the NY Daily News is a "conservative rag" and owned by Rupert Murdoch, and that from an individual who habitually attacks people for not doing research prior to posting. Go figure. :D :D 8-)

Mad, So far Obama has received the endorsement of forty major newspapers. Romney has received 33.
None of those endorsements has swayed anyone and neither will the Daily News endorsement. If endorsements worked, then you would be supporting the President.

I guess whoever told you that was wrong as per Wikipedia, Mortimer Zuckerman has been the publisher and owner of the New York Daily News since 1993 and, as of 2007, is the current editor-in-chief of U.S. News & World Report. :mrgreen:
