Alaska Cruise - XII

The trip is coming to an end and I need to organize the last photos. This set shows the rainbow show we enjoyed, our arrival in Ketchikan and a few totem poles to round out the tourist experience.
Ketchikan is an interesting place. With a little more than 8,000 residents it has 7 docks that can accommodate ships carrying more than 5,000 passengers plus 1700 crew (that was one of the visiting ships the day we arrived). Water is mainly from cisterns because Ketchikan has the most rainfall of any city in Alaska. Over 260 days per year.
Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Wonderful set, Mike. The arc of the rainbow appears lower than what I see here. Must be because it was so far north.

On our way back from an Alaska Cruise we stopped in Vancouver. They have an amazing park with many totem poles as well as fantastic museum of anthropology if you like that sort of thing.
