Want to use my (3) GODOX V860N speedlights with my new Fujifilm mirrorless cameras.
What is the most reasonable way to have them function in TTL mode?
Is TTL even possible?
Would the Flashpoint R2 SPT transceiver system be the way to go?
I know I can use one sitting on the hot shoe in manual mode.
But am I stuck with basic operation as this is a different camera system?

As far as I know just from reading on the web & you tube, Wescott is the only manufacture that has a choice switching camera brands built into the menu system. Might be others. I would reach out to Goddox tech support.

This will be interesting to follow. Any flash should work in Manual Mode. It is also curious because most of the Professionals I know tell me to use my Strobes in Manual Mode regardless of the age of the Flash or camera. A test shot or two should tell you if your flash exposure is correct. TTL and Thyrister flash was for Film, but I do see how it could be used with a MILC. But as has been pointed out, fancy functions on flash units are brand specific. Good luck.

I had two Godox TT685N flashes for Nikon that Godox bricked due to lack of firmware updates to support changes needed for Nikon mirrorless cameras. Despite many efforts / workarounds I was unable to get them to work. All was not lost though as I gave one of them to my youngest daughter and it works fine on her D750.

You didn’t mention the Godox ttl trigger that attaches to camera hot shoe it also acts like a remote to set each speed light independently

I doubt Godox for Nikon will do anything but manual on a Fuji body, but I’ll bet if you get a Godox Fuji trigger you could use them off camera with full functionality.

My Nikon SB800 works on my Z50 in manual and TTL, but it will not allow the TTL-BL setting. Meanwhile , I got the much lighter and simpler SB500 which does both, not quite as well, but serviceable for candid gatherings. Also, my Z50 is amazing in low light!

I recently photograhed an indoor event for a square dance group that wanted headshots of the couples in the group. I used an umbrella as the main light and a small on-camera strobe set at 1/16 power to trigger the main light and also to act as a small kicker light to help fill in the shadows. Everything was set to manual. That is the only way to get consistant results from shot to shot.

Unfortunately, the hot shoes on different camera brands are not electrically compatible. There may be a different number of contacts and contacts at what seem to be the same location may be used for different purposes. I think manual flashes use only the principal contacts that are the same in each camera (be careful of voltages, however).

In short Nikon TTL flashes cannot be used on FujiFilm cameras. As Godox makes flashes for various camera brands it may be possible to use a Godox wireless controller for Fujifilm to trigger a Godox flash for Nikon. Of course your flashes must be able to use a wireless controller. In this instance the flash hotshoe is not used and the wireless command set for the flashes may be independent of camera brand.

I have not tried cross branding wireless controllers and flashes but someone here may have tried this. The Manufacturer should know for sure.

If your Godox speed lights were bought for Nikon I don’t believe they’ll work in TTL mode on your Fuji camera. The pin placements on the hot shoe of your Fuji will be different from the pin placements of your speed lights because they are for Nikon cameras.
