I am in the process of restoring this camera. I would like to ask for a bit of help. Does any one know where nI could purchase the "T" shape tool called "tension lock nut wrench [ # 28442 ]. If someone would be willing to rent it to me I would very grateful, otherwise I will have to try and make one? When I am finished I will post a few photos. It has been over a year, since I started, a lot of work, but I have a roll film back and film and I really want to take it take a few photos.
Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions.
Depending on the optics, the Speed Graphic takes outstanding images! Enjoy your new camera...
Sisko67!
Do you have a picture of the wrench? I have 2 4x5 Crown Graphics and I have worked on them in the past with ordinary tools. Perhaps someone can suggest something as a substitute. Is the wrench expensive?
Be well! Ed
You might try Moler's camera in Wichita Kansas. At one time they were a warranty service center for Graflex. They also had a parts cabinet with enough parts to build a speed graphic from scratch. Leather covers, frame etc. all in the cabinet. The owner is the grandson of the founder I think. Orville Founded it, Bob took over and now his son, David (I think). The parts were there as lkate as mid the 90s. Ask about Bob's collection of Hudson Automobiles.
