Vertical Pano

Walking back to our boat in Normandy we passed this old church. I really liked the exterior but I could not fit the entire structure in my viewfinder because of the narrow street. I had my back to the wall of the building across the street. I was shooting with a D800 and a 28-300 lens. I shot two shots cutting the church in half and then stitched them to make the vertical shot. I stitched them prior to correcting the perspective.

Did you try shooting vertically? I have had shots where I couldn't get the whole subject in in the horizontal position so I turned the camera vertical.

Of course. The building fit top to bottom without any headroom or foreground and was a tight squeeze side to side in the vertical position. Not a shot I would have used.

Very nice!

I like doing that when finding myself in similar situations.
