I find myself automatically smiling when I read an article or watch a video about UFOs. The fact that the stories are all so similar means one of two things: UFOs are real; "witnesses" are simply repeating details they've been hearing for years.

One thing I wonder about is why UFOs have so many lights. Is it an artsy thing for these guys? Is there an interstellar law we don't know about? If they have technology that lets them fly across the galaxy, do they really need so many lights to see and be seen?

I don't think the UAPs that were tracked by the military had lots of lights. Maybe that's how you tell the real from the fictitious.

jerryc41, I can tell you I don't have to repeat what others say, because I saw one hover over the Naval Base, in Philadelphia Pa, many years ago. The search lights went on and the sirens went off, which called my attention. I saw a craft go straight up and stop dead, no light, no sound. Then it took off on an angle in a split second it was out of sight. There was no mention on the news that night or the next day or ever. I know what I saw and I believe we are not the only life forms in this universe. My grand father told me he saw one land and a being get out. He was a very religious and honest man and would not say he saw something he did not.

There are certainly lots of things we can't explain. We see them, yet we have no explanation for them.

I'll stick with the astronauts on this one...they have seen things.

Gordon Cooper's is probably the strongest...since the UFO showed up on his scanner and NASA was tracking it.
Reporters were forbidden to ask about it.

Something is going on.

Whether it has anything to do with us is another matter.
It's just as likely aliens are here for a reason we don't realize...that has nothing to do with us.

That would be a very hard pill for mankind to swallow.
Could be a reason why there has been no real contact...and a reason why the government will never tell you.
Society could not handle the rejection.

Keeping everything secret from the public just feeds the rumor mill. Of course, they can't just say, "One of our astronauts saw something strange following them." I guess if they can't offer an explanation, they don't want people jumping to conclusions.

There was a video taken from the moon (I think) that showed a "flying saucer." When it was analyzed, they discovered that it was part of their equipment floating around.

Jerry, humans are the true aliens on earth for there are insect species here today that evolved some 400 million years ago (simple cell life is believed to evolved some 3.5 to 4 billion years ago when the oceans formed).

Yes, but if I am right...and they aren't here for us...rumors are better than the truth.

Mankind does not take uncomfortable truths very well...that would be very obvious to aliens right off.

Right. The horseshoe crab, which I remember from living on Long Island, has been around for millions of years. I recently read about a large fish in China that has been around just as long.

Crop circles are supposedly made by aliens in UFOs. Of course this has been debunked but the best line I’ve heard regarding them was “Are you saying that aliens traveled hundreds or perhaps thousands of light years just to show us their art skills?”

Well I saw the Famous Phoenix Lights sighting and I have no idea just what it was, but one thing for sure it wasn't flares like the military tried to say.

Being as the universe is so large the simple odds make it a positive of other life forms. Ancients drew them and achieved things we cannot do to this day. Radioactive areas have been found around ancient ruins that have been obviously exploded eons ago. The aliens for lack of a better word used to stop and interact with us. Why? Because we considered them gods. As we moved forward technically they stopped interacting with us because we no longer respected the. We wanted to dissect them. So they no longer interact with us.
