We got up very early to make sure that we had a parking spot at the beach to see the planned 8:32 lift-off of Artemis I - the most powerful rocket that NASA has ever launched. The launch was scrubbed, but the sunrise was well worth getting up early for! Taken with my iPhone 11 Pro. In HDR mode.
Wonderful shots!! Looks like you had a great spot (I just watch from my backyard these days).
As a veteran of many Shuttle missions (and many launch reschedules) the first flight of a "Human rated space craft (rocket)" will likely go through several issues before it ever leaves the ground. It is very different from launching a bunch of little sattelites (or whatever) from a proven vehicle - if anything one hopes that my NASA brothers/sisters have learned well from previous losses. Everything has to be perfect to earn the title of "Human rated Space Craft", as we know all to well what can happen when things go south. It sucks for the viewers, but has to be done right. Even then, many potentials with such complicated endeavors.
