After shooting my grandson all thru Youth, Freshman & JV football now it's on to Varsity under the lights. Much different set of challenges gives a new found appreciation for you guys that have been doing this. After processing two images in the free trial mode of Topaz I went ahead and purchased.
All shot with a D850, Auto ISO & White Balance.
Thanks for looking and as always all comments are welcome. If any of you that have any tips for Topaz I would love for you to pass them on.

Richard,
These are extremely good! The action is wonderful. These are exactly the images I try to take when I'm on the sideline, it doesn't happen all the time!
I bought the Topaz bundle a few weeks ago when they had all of it on sale. My LR/PS can quickly branch to Topaz, do some processing and return. That said I only use Topaz Denoise/Sharpen AI if I have a little motion blur or there's noise LR can't get rid of. Usually I may have 4 or 10 images I use Topaz on, but the picture taking season is still early.
Keep posting Richard, I really like your perspective like many other photog's on this board, gives me ideas on improving my photography which is why we are all here.
All the best,
Rick
Nice, clean action shots. Topaz is definitely a game changer.
Very nice shots. I'm going out tomorrow night for my first 'night' football game with almost identical equipment. I'm going with a D850/70-200 f/2.8 combo. I see you went with multiple lenses? I'm a big user of the Topaz AI programs - you will like them and in time just add them to normal workflow. Do you shoot RAW of JPG?
As to tips - if shooting RAW be sure to take any noise reduction and sharpening out of pre-AI processing. I use ACR to get the colors I want, then DeNoiseAI. If I'm really on my game, I can get by with CLEAR - and if not I'll go stronger. Then I look at SharpenAI help. Don't use it if you don't need it. There are many processes in Sharpen - look at them all. Usually there is one model that is better for your shot than the others. So - DeNoise Always - Sharpen if necessary.
Thanks for posting the settings as well.

I shoot raw and do my editing in ACR and photoshop.
Great series of photos. Shooting under the lights isn’t easy.

Nikon these are very good because like you said shooting under the lights can be challenging. Using the 70-200 2.8 sometimes can be to short, so let the action come to you and fill the frame. If you do that the noise level won't be as bad. I also use Topaz Denoise and sharpening. For night games the iso will be around 8000 shooting at 1/1250 at 2.8.
Again good work. The sharpening tool used correctly makes all the difference in the world delete or a keeper.
