Some of my favorites, taken just yesterday (I probably took about 1200 shots at least) - I haven't posted any in ages. But these little guys are so darn cute, intense and photogenic that they jumped to the head of my posting pile.
Moring and evening are best - not only are the nocturnals of course, but they go into their burrows to avoid the heat... and get irritated if you walk around their homes while sleeping. They are protected & if harassed they can abandon their burrows

This guy had a nice palm just behind his perch... Most burrows are in much more open landscape around the entrances

Outstanding set, great subjects
Beautiful sharp clear photos of gorgeous owls. We shot some at Brian Piccolo park east coast south Florida. What settings and gear did you use to capture these great images. Great job excellent models and behind the camera work

Love your images!!
What's not to love about these adorable little charmers? Hubby and I visited CC for a couple of weeks last April. I drove all over the blasted place looking for owlets. Sooooo, one morning I decided to just take a quick walk around our rental. Just 4 houses away, there was a pair with THREE very active "little ones". The neighbors got used to seeing me lying across the street on my stomach and just shooting away. We're renting same house again next year.
