This morning, Jerry started a Chit-Chat string on backup generators. I offered my two cent's worth and within about 3 minutes, I received an auto notification that there were other responses I jumped back in, to take a look. When I got to the end of the string, here's a screen shot of what I saw.
Didn't take "them" much time, did it?

And your avatar won't be displayed and whether or not you're a regular and possibly your online status.

I don’t mind how this website does the ads. At least they aren’t blocking content and sometimes they can be entertaining after reading the post or even informative. I admit I’ve clicked on a few to get more information.

Once I was searching for a lawn mower (while at work). I found and purchased one and forgot all about it until one day a month or two later when an ad for a lawn mower showed up in a web page I was reading. Disgusted, I started using DuckDuckGo for my search engine and started adding security extensions to Firefox, Https Everywhere, uBlock Origin and the Facebook Container. Now, I understand that DDG;s results are from Bing and that DDG isn't as secure as I want. I haven't chosen a replacement yet, but I will.
