Burning up some quarantine time...
By looking back at pictures made last year at the Windmill Island Gardens, Holland, Michigan. They had many clusters of plants, some of them similar and some of them differing. They were pleasing to look upon but somehow, the pictures seemed to be too busy. So I've cropped into some to cut down on the busyness.

This plant I had not seen since boyhood in the mid 1940s. Daddy planted these near the garden to keep the moles out. I helped in the garden just a little bit. Daddy said I was always checking on the garden but hardly ever working it.

Thanks, peekaboo. Love your userid. How many hundreds (thousands?) of times have I covered my eyes and said "peekaboo," then uncovered them and said "I see you" to my kids and grand kids. Our favorite game.
Really nice. The first does seem very busy.
I don't know what the "befores" look like, but I like these, even the business of #2. . . .

Thank you NMGal.
NMGal = New Mexico Gal? Are you flooded?

Yes. We are not flooded in my little area.
Thank you C. It was a fun time in the Gardens, wandering around with more photo ops than you can shake a stick at.
They are nice crops. You might consider just a very close-up (tight crop) of the multi-colored leaves. They are very nice.

After a second look I tend to agree with you. Thanks for the comment.
