Anybody have a brand recommendation for a decent-tasting hydrating powder. (I don't like sweet)

I generally find water to work well for the purpose, especially in hot dry climates and jungles.

With tongue firmly in my right cheek I have to ask, does water comes in powder form these days?

Water isn't so good at replacing the electrolytes lost with heavy activity in hot humid conditions. Gatoraide and the like replace water, salts and who knows what else. I think Gatoraide comes in powder form, but there are likely a number of other brands that do the same with different taste. I tasted Gatoraide once and hated it.
Personally, I'd prefer water and get my salt needs from salty foods.
Then again, I try not to sweat too much these days...

Sounds like the old commercial, Never let them see you sweat.

Google Military approved hydration powers and pills and you will see lots of options. When I was in the Army in the 1960s we took salt pills. Make sure you check with your doctor first before you take anything and get his/her opinion.
Try nuun. Berry & lemon - lime. Hammer grapefruit. The tabs are way more convenient than powders. Look on bicycling sites.
I use Propel brand hydration powders. You can get them in just about any grocery store in a box of, I think, ten small sleeves. Individual drink size. They come in several flavors, all good, to me anyway. And water alone is NOT a good rehydrator unless you have unlimited supplies. I've hiked the Grand Canyon many times and I can tell you, water alone doesn't do the trick! A good rehydrator is a life saver!
HOw can a powder hydrate you? You must need water to hydrate right?

Gatorade works for me whenever I've done physical exertion, or when I get dehydrated when I have a cold or virus.
I used to play a lot of golf, and after walking 18 holes on a hot day, Gatorade always hit the spot.
If I'm not thirsty or dehydrated, Gatorade just doesn't taste good.

Water, yes, but also must replace electrolytes lost in persperation.
COSTCO is selling a hydrating powder that you might want to consider.

Yes, you buy a 1 gal container add 1 gallon of water and have 1 gallon of water.
CORE bottled water has all the right amounts of electrolytes and minerals and is PH balanced at 7.4 . No muss no fuss!
