Star ratings in Lightroom clasic

What happened to the star ratings in lightroom classic. They seem to have disappeared.

Are you saying that star ratings you have applied don't show in the thumbnails, or that the row of stars near the bottom of the screen that let you rate a photo are missing?

Just above the thumbnails at the bottom and to the right of the picture area you'll see a little down arrow just to the right of the thumbnail size slider. Click it to see the drop down and make sure rating has a check mark in front of it.

Just select the image(s) to be rated and press the number to be assigned. 1, 2, 3 and so forth. Press 0 to remove any stars ratings. Colors begin at 6 (red) and up. Test which number is which color above 5.

You might have hidden the toolbar (t) or changed the grid view to not show it. Double click an image and see if they are there on the bottom.
I think you either accidentally hid them, or an update reset something.

While in "library" mode look at the down arrow to the right of the "thumbnails" slider; the down arrow controls what shows in the tool bar.

If you press T, does the toolbar with the star ratings appear? Press again to toggle.
