Long Ago and Far Away #23

Greetings.
Still having issues with Save Original check use and for some reason the situation has changed a bit today. Most of my photos in this submission go into #23 as full size (or what I assume is download size) and when I hit download box the picture is duplicated at the same large size. A few shots show up at small size with the Save Original box checked and then click on download and there is no size change. I have had a few more suggestions from you at UHH and will try some out later today. For now, here's the contents.

NOVA SCOTIA
These from a fall vacation in 1982 to the New Brunswick area.
N.S. is the smallest province in Canada. Settled by Europeans in earlier years. Very turbulent history with skirmishes and six wars which ended about 1761. N.S.Became a self-governing representative body in 1848.
N.S. has 13,000 miles of coastline; the Bay of Fundy has the highest tides of any place in the world, harvests 50,000 tons of lobster annually. It is one of the first areas in North America to grow grapes (1600AD) and supplies exports of Tidal Bay Wines: L'Acadie Blanc, Seval Blanc, New York Muscat, Baco Noir. There are 18 wineries and vineyards. One major tourist attraction is Peggy's Cove with the most photographed lighthouse in the world.

HALIFAX
Established in 1745 on the Roanoke River; incorporated as a town in 1849.
In WWI, became a major international port and Naval Facility. In December of 1917 an enormous explosion occurred when a French cargo ship loaded with explosives collided with a Norwegian ship in Halifax harbor,
destroying a significant portion of the city.

Very nice photos, but I think P.E.I. (Prince Edward Island) is the smallest province.

I love photo #4. As a fan of all things nautical, it “floats my boat “ 😄
