Great set, Joe!

Google Lens (Chrome plugin) says that #4 is a Green heron.
Here is a reference picture.

The American bittern is less, umm, green.

Thanks for the great information and for commenting We had a family of them in our pine tree years back, about 100 feet from the lake. They were very entertaining

Thanks so much, Sylvia I am thirsting to get shots of other kinds of birds! On certain days I get some by the bird feeders in my yard, but nothing notable. However, the other day a hawk landed about thirty feet away chasing something in the shade, and I was able to get four great shots, which is very unlike the luck I usually have
Thanks so much, Sylvia img src="https://static.ug... (show quote)

Congratulations Joe.

From my usual place, Kingsbury State Fish and Wildlife area, Kingsbury, IN. Two miles of utility poles, and normally turkey vultures, Cooper's Hawks, and Red-Tailed Hawks perch on top early in the morning as the sun rises. I don't see too many others, but I am happy with the ones that visit. I think Number Four was way off course. The property manager told me to look for an unusual looking bird that was in the area for about a week, and it was eating snails. Can anyone identify FOUR for me, please?
