Baseball question

Baseball is my favorite professional sport and I know the rules pretty well. Tonight the Cardinals beat the Rockies 5 to 4 when with the bases loaded, the batter was hit by a pitch scoring the winning run. Did the batter get credit for a run batted in -- an RBI?

Yes. Single, base-on-balls, or hit by pitch all the same result... 1 RBI.

Why not check the box score from the game? It will tell you whether that batter received an RBI for that play.

A batter hit by a pitch with the bases loaded is also credited with an RBI per MLB rule 10.04(a)(2). Wikipedia

Yes. Batter gets an RBI if hit by a pitch or walks with the bases loaded.

Yes, batter is given credit for an RBI. Batter is not charged with an β€œ at bat”, however batter is also credited with an β€œ on base” which increases batters β€œon base” percentage.
