Lightroom fails after saving Large Format PSD files.
I'm always trying something new and thing generally work out but lately I've been making "panos" with a D800-e and sometimes a Better Light Super600 scanning back on either a Sinar/Omega/ Horseman, Fuji GX-680...anyway Making a 5 unit pass and combining them into a single image and saving as a TIFF...and saving a copy to Lightroom...Anyway, the problem is when I reopen LR I find that only the left and right panels are visible and the center window is missing in the LR app...So I am forced to shut down LR and reopen it. Yes, I do save the original at a "Large PSD file". Files and usually no larger that 500GB but mostly 300GB. Has anyone had a problem with LR not working as designed when it comes to large files? The attached file is out on my front lawn looking at the lake. It is made up of only 5 frames from a Nikon D800 stitched together and blended in Photoshop. OK, after I restart LR everything works. Cheers.

LR just 'sees' the merged image within the PSD. Consider the following to investigate:
1. Save the PSD to a JPEG from within PS, assure that image creates / views as expected from your OS image viewer. Correct any issues, if needed.
2. Save the PSD and close the PSD file within PS and see if that impacts how LR views the PSD.
3. Perform step 2 and re-sync the source folder within LR and see if that impacts how LR views the PSD.
4. Open a technical support chat with Adobe.com and present your issue to your subscription-paid access to Adobe experts.
Thanks the last time I spoke with anyone about a problem they said they would get back to me, they never did.
I was using a CCD sensor to do some astro photography and har a color reversal In Aurora when I did an HDR and the answer was use a CMOS sensor?
It's like going to a doctor and saying "it hurts when I do this" ans. "don't do that".

Your photo is just data as soon as it is recorded. How can it matter whether its originated from a CCD or CMOS camera sensor, or even a scanner ?
Speaking of data ... whatz the point in having such monster files ? They dont improve anyrhing and just cause grief.
Why is your posted photo so very dark ? It cant tell us anything, plus you didnt store the original when posting.
(P.S. You can spell it "moire" and then you dont need an accent mark.)
I asked this question because I thought I would be talking with someone with average intelligence, I was wrong.

I may fall into the disparaged class, but I don't understand (agree with?) your comment. CHG_CANON's response appears to me to be clear, intelligent, and helpful. Your reply may make him less likely to offer advice. That would be a loss to the forum.

Photo paper can only capture about 200 - 250 DPI - past that it doesn’t matter what you throw at it. It will only catch 200 - 250
So if I load two pieces of paper in the printer will it...
