Are the feet necessary?

Just like people, don't crop below the knee!!
You bird image shows the bird does have feet even if you can't see them.

add space for virtual legs sometime helps otherwise can feel off balance
Add canvas with content aware fill

Thank you for the suggestion, I can see how that would improve the balance. I guess I’m fighting my own self imposed limitations because I have yet to open Photoshop. I appreciate your comments and I guess I just have to take the plunge.
