Really interesting... compound eyes even at only 256 pixels resolution aided by AI, advanced algorithms, and everything else happening with computational photography could produce some amazing results... The future is now. Bob

The future is tomorrow, the present is now; tomorrow's future becomes today's present, which all end up in the past. Reminds me of a Moody Blues song.

Yep, besides being a old Moodies fan, I am also a Tolle Fan, so I misspoke a little... Mea Culpa ! It's all in the NOW... Regardless, I think we will see some amazing advances in our little photo world in the not too distant future. Bob

"Days of Future Past"...actually an album title. Contained "Tuesday Afternoon" and " Nights in White Satin".

Certainly were Moody, but zero cred on the Blues aspect. They earn a full 10/10 on the pretentiousness scale.

Look up trilobite eyes. This was a creature that went extinct in the Permian age. They possessed a complicated crystalline eye comprised of hundreds of flat faceted surfaces.
