out of the archives from 10-2-2916 some new processing - a "Skipper" butterfly of some variety (there are a lot) sipping nectar from a small flower in a cluster. The skipper is about 1" nose to tail so now you know the scale of things in this shot.
Canon 6D, Tamron 180 macro, 1/250 @ f/11, ISO-320
handheld under early afternoon sun on a bright day, the sun at about the 2 o'clock position with a touch of backlighting but the front of the flowers and skipper get reflected light from the pool and the back of the house (white and beige siding)
Nice, they can be really hard to capture
It is called a typo, my clumsy finger was aiming for the 0.

The potted plant was on the terrace of our backyard which is 2 1/2 feet above the main yard level with the house and pool. I was sitting in a lawn chair with several potted flowers on the lawn and several skippers of different types were landing and taking off right at my eye level. So I waited and made a lot of shots, this is one of the better images I got.
Beautiful capture, Robert, nicely presented!!
