This has been a wet year in Maybell, Colorado and western Colorado in general. We stayed at the Old Victory Hotel again in Maybell and enjoyed the owners' company in the evenings. It was beautiful all three days with rain, wind and gorgeous clouds and skies. So many horses and so little time. We did spot one paint chasing two elk crossing the road in front of us Friday evening at dusk. He did a happy dance after running them off. We also spotted a Badger in front of us and I was pretty slow getting the camera out. I got many shots at Outhouse Watering Hole Thursday and Friday late afternoon. There were no horses in the watering holes of morning. Traveling to the SWB just makes me happy.
Canon 5d mark iv, mostly Tamron 150-600 edited in Nik Efex and Topaz(new to me).
Beautiful set, Donna! Thanks for sharing.
The B&W shot looks stately.

I love B&W photography and the dapple grey was accommodating. Some would see me with my big lens and walk or run away.

Indeed, and interesting set! Beautiful to boot!
Congratulations on a lovely series of photographs. Well done.

May I ask how you located the Outhouse watering hole? So many roads going every direction I see how easy it could be to get lost!
