Ron Desantis has ranted about the idea that gun free zones are less safe to his gun supporting followers. What a hypocrite. According to Insider, he will be holding rallies to promote himself and other far right candidates where guns will be strictly prohibited. Despite all the bluster and posturing, the t***h is that Ron Desantis is afraid to attend a rally held in a gun free zone.
Insider:
"Dubbed "Unite & Win" rallies, the events are being put on by Turning Point Action — the political advocacy arm of Turning Point USA, led by right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk — and will feature DeSantis alongside local Republicans hoping to win e******ns in November, including Pennsylvania's Doug Mastriano, Arizona's Kari Lake and Blake Masters, and Ohio's J.D. Vance.
Attendees should be prepared for "airport-like screening," according to listings for the events posted by Turning Point Action on EventBrite, where would-be guests are encouraged to request tickets. Security will be turning away the visibly intoxicated, according to the listing, as well as also for the following prohibited items: "ammunition, knives, projectiles, pepper spray, expandable batons, [and] firearms."
The listing notes that there is to be "NO CCW," or concealed weapons, "in Event Zone."

With democrats being the overwhelming cause of shootings including congressmen and presidents I can understand the precautions being taken.

Gun free zones in the general public and not protected by security as is DeSantis and other political public figures rallies are. People are checked for weapons before entering the promise of the rallies. Where in heavens do you see the hypocrisy?

Now who do you think would violate a gun-free zone, a legal gun owner or a criminal?

Don't confuse them with logic.

We wouldn’t want any of your f*****t type radicals shooting a candidate world we, Georgie. We did the same thing when we guarded that asswipe John Kerry for a year on the campaign trail. And yes, we took some dangerous weapons off of his supporters at some of his rallies.
Apparently, conservatives support gun free zones.

Apparently, DeSantis realizes that the "good guy with a gun" theory is b.s.

You are deflecting again. What you just said is pure bs.

If you want to be perfectly honest political events are not gun free zones even though you are not allowed to carry a gun inside, you are suggesting that there is not ample armed security inside such an event and you are flat out wrong. There is nothing gun free about events where prominent politicians are showing up.
