I saw one in Colorado, it was a deeper red! Yours has more orange in it. I was flabbergasted I thought that red and white polka dot mushroom was a video game invention!
Yeah definitely don’t eat it (only once). In general you want to avoid eating, and touching, red things in nature, unless you know they are safe, apples, strawberries, and tomatoes for example are safe.

Some here are more red, some more orange. These are more orange, as you say.
