There are some beautiful shots available in the moors some years ago I used to go up to photograph trains on the Settle to Carlisle railway line, the locations were fabulous

Appreciate you looking in John and leaving comments thank you very much, we do live in a picturesque area.

Super-enjoyable scenic photos from your corner of the planet, Sylvia. I had no idea England had poisonous snakes!

Thank you very much Linda for your comments, always pleased to know you enjoyed them. We have three species of snake native to Britain and one non native species, three of these are completely harmless and the adder which is native and highly venomous!

Wonderful series, Sylvia. Didn’t know you had adders.

Happy you like them Barbara and thank you so very much for your kind comment. Yes we have and it is highly venomous, the hot weather we have had seems to bring them out and about more!!

I'm appreciating most of these, Sylvia. The 'object-less' subjects above all, but apart from those, I cannot overlook the irony --both stated and implied-- in another image in particular.

I'll leave it to you to decide which might be which....

Always pleased to know you enjoyed them Jim and thank you very much for your comments. I must confess I was half asleep when I posted these and I’m interested to know which one you are referring to.

Really enjoyed seeing your neighborhood. Never having visited the UK, my impression of moors was something wild, dark and dank like something Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would write about. Your images reveal exactly the opposite. Wonderful scenery that's a great balance of wild and beautiful with just enough inroads of civilization to make it comfortable and close. Really like #1's wide sweep of heather and #7 & #9 because they show we can live closely with nature and not mess it up. Good job, Good show

And now we know those adders didn't go very far after St Patrick drove them out of Ireland.

'Scratching An Itch'? Is that what you Brits call the irony of some poor horny creature cogitating about whether to take the bridge or take the footpath? When both are public? Ok........

All great photographs but I’m partial to #3. That is beautiful countryside there. What town were you closest to? Is it North Yorkshire or a smaller town

Thank you so very much for your kind comments kcooke pleased you like them. North Yorkshire is the largest county in England and includes the majority of the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors. Its origins can be traced to Viking times circa AD875. The nearest town to where we were is a lovely seaside place called Whitby.

I took the liberty of adjusting one of your photos to bring out its potential. Now more of the scenery has become visible.

Note that I did not use Photoshop, but instead a basic image editor, Photos, that came with Windows 11.

Thank you very much for looking in and your comments. I do not use a computer at all, everything is done on an iPad using two basic apps.
