Last evening at Watson Lake. Bitten up and Bruised. I encountered the tarantula next to my car. I was tempted to get a flash out but was too tired and opted for my cell phone. The long shot is from a friendly kayaker named Penny taken early in the evening.

I've taken a dozen or more photos at Watson Lake, and they all look like crap. Well done. #1 is gorgeous.

I will only shoot at Dawn or late afternoon - dark with a long exposure. That shot was 30 seconds. Direct sunlight can be pretty harsh. Also the colors usually will only last a couple minutes, with peak colors for about a minute. but on the plus side the colors are not just from the west, that shot was to the north.
The first is just gorgeous!!
