A quite interesting rock, a Sandstone Slab "picture" from Utah, USA. I find them quite interesting also. I have two, framed and hanging in my work room.

I was told by the seller that the rock the slab was sawn from imported from Australia, I had no reason not to believe him since I had already bought it, it really don't make ay difference to me I bought it because I liked it.

Always possible from Australia, I just have never heard of any coming from there. And it is possible it crossed the ocean twice... A LOT of commerce in rocks, world wide!
Interesting, and pretty no matter the source!

Here are a couple of web sites about the Kanab, Ut, source, if you are interested.

Since you are photographing rocks... Are you aware of Mozarkite, from your area? There are also some quite interesting "holey", druzy quartz rocks around Viburnum, and Potosi, particularly at the old lead mine dumps. And in the creeks, and roadsides, and hillsides. fields, and quarries.
I am looking forward to seeing your rock picts.

Most of the sites around here are off limits and so grown over its difficult to find interesting rocks, so I Just pick up stuff that catches my eye, When I was a kid I had all kinds of quartz and Galena from around the Eagle Pitcher mine in the Galena Ks area, beats the devil outta me what happened to it.
So this might not be a very long project.
